WHAT THIS DOES NOT SOLVE
A record is not a guarantee.
It is worth being plain about the edges, because a workshop deciding whether to bother should know them before they start.
A buyer can still refuse delivery
If the carving is wrong, the buyer does not confirm, and the repayment does not release. The record makes the dispute visible. It does not decide it.
A workshop can still fail to deliver
Illness, a bad batch of timber, a fire. The financier's money is at risk exactly as it would be otherwise, and the rate should say so.
We do not set the rate
Financiers price their own money. What changes is what they are pricing, not who decides the number.
It needs the buyer to take part
A buyer who will not confirm an order is a buyer this cannot help with. Some will not, and that is a real limit.
What it removes is one specific unknown. That unknown happens to be the expensive one.
